The Opera browser was not able to compete with the likes of Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. This has however, not stopped the former CEO of Opera, Jon to launch an entirely new browser called Vivaldi.
We take a sneak peek at Vivaldi in this post.
Interface
Vivaldi is aesthetically different than other browsers.
In Vivaldi, the bookmarks and downloads are on the left, which is a killer feature of the app.
Tweaks
The best part about Vivaldi is that if you don't like something you can change it.
It was hard to navigate to settings to tweak the browser, but we did manage to finally find it at the extreme left bottom corner.
Performance
The Vivaldi is still under technically preview and so it is bound to have a lot of bugs. The browser crashed a multiple times when we were using a lot of tabs and watching YouTube videos.
It was great for normal surfing but was very slow in loading large images.
Compared to Mozilla Firefox, Vivaldi was using more memory as seen above for a single tab.
Vivaldi is still not available for mobile devices.
