With the latest version of Skype (5.5.0.113), it is possible to chat with your Facebook buddies.
However you will need to do some quick settings to enable this feature.
How to enable the chat with Facebook friends using Skype?
1. Login to skype.
2. Click on the small Facebook icon next to contacts
3. Click on the Connect with Facebook button.
4. Enter Facebook Credentials
How to disable Facebook integration with Skype?

You will need to delete the access given to skype from your Facebook account.
